Responsibilities: Donovan Hart provides the strategic direction for the IT community and works to institutionalize IT capabilities across the company. She is responsible for the Global Infrastructure supporting the company, as well as serving as the unit level chief information officer for Corporate Systems. She has been instrumental in the migration and support of technology aimed at improving end-to-end business performance for the corporation.
Prior Experience: Donovan Hart joined State Street in 1983 and has held a number of management positions in both mutual fund operations and technology project services. She currently is a member of the board of the State Street Technology Center in China. She also chairs the Information Technology Council and the Information Technology Management Committee, and serves as a member of the Ethics Committee, the EVP Women’s Mentoring Council, and the Operations Council. In addition, she is the executive sponsor of the Women’s Information Network within Information Technology.
Current Challenge: Donovan Hart continues to infuse transformation into the DNA of both IT and the business at State Street. Having come into IT through the business side of State Street, Donovan Hart understands that virtually all IT decisions must be linked to and associated with business outcomes and business strategies. She plays a key role in overall strategy meetings, insuring that IT functions as a revenue driver that supports existing business and enables the company to generate new business.
