Thanks Pearl - they're great points. I think to some degree the report addresses agility in terms of the time taken to deploy new apps, but you're right that there's a lot that is not measured. My feeling when I speak to IDC (and Gartner and Forrester for that matter) is that a lot of the current work they're doing around converged systems is to refine how they measure the effectiveness of solutions, as well as to properly size the market and more clearly define the terms in use, so I'm hoping that there will shortly be more hard measures to share on this blog.
