What Davenport calls "data scientist" reminds me of what's more what's commonly called the business analyst. But what the biggest challenge isn't just a scarcity of expertise, which Davenport points out, but an organizational buy-in to believe in the analyst. Are org's mature enough? Don't think so ... yet.
