Yesterday's security doesn't work for today's threats

Leadership Video ,

Traditional or customary approaches to enterprise security are inherently reactive, an approach that can spell disaster for the fast-emerging threat landscape today. Cyber crime in 2011 and beyond demands a very different approach to securing data assets, as this video demonstrates. Andrzej Kawalec, Chief Technology Officer, HP Enterprise Security Services and CTOvision.com editor Bob Gourley are interviewed by Enterprise CIO Forum editorial director Bill Laberis.

HP's Andrzej Kawalec identifies three key issues challenging today's enterprise security: 1.) speed and complexity of attacks are increasing, attacks are getting more targeted; 2.) consumerization of IT; 3.) cloud as a changing entry point for the delivery of IT. This perspective is backed up by the results of a recent HP / Ponemon Research study. Let's face it, organization's need a comprehensive security strategy.
